What is the 72 Hour Problem?
Entering foster care can be incredibly scary and confusing. We provide a soft landing for children when they enter foster care at our emergency shelter house in Bellingham. There we address what we call “The 72 Hour Problem” by providing a place for children to stabilize and buying time for social workers. Approximately 100 children from all over Washington spend their first days in foster care at one of our emergency shelter houses, and this important work is done by a team of 100+ volunteers.
Your participation in The 72 Hour Fundraiser provides vital support and spreads awareness, which helps solve The 72 Hour Problem. Watch the video above to learn more!
