On May 23rd Skookum Kids is hosting a free panel answering all your questions about foster parenting. These invaluable panelists have so much wisdom and experience to offer. If fostering is something that has interested you (even in the slightest) then this is for you!

Jason and Heather are seasoned foster parents. They have fostered 4+ children and have had open contact and relationships with all of their bio-parents. They've even had a bio mom over for Christmas while her child was still formally with the Mannings.

These two are exemplary in keeping healthy relationships while fostering!

Meet Hilary. Hilary has always fostered sibling sets of two. She has talked about how she prefers fostering two at a time because siblings can relate to and understand each other in ways she cannot. How cool! Hilary goes above and beyond and has the most gracious heart. Check out the video she made with us this past year!

Meet Heron and Chantel! During their time as licensed foster parents with Skookum, they worked hard to maintain open relationships with bio-parents and supported one of their foster placements through the reunification with her family. They also fostered a teen who they eventually adopted!

Say hi to Matt and Jae 👋 These two foster parents have experience with a longer placement and working with kids with tribal backgrounds. Gleaning wisdom from Matt and Jae is invaluable as Washington is the home of many tribes.
