Send a kid to summer camp!

Did you get to go to summer camp as a child?

Some of my longest-lasting memories were made at camp. I can remember days full of trying new things, laughing with friends, and roasting marshmallows over a fire. As a camper, I forged relationships that are still important to me today.

At Skookum Kids, I see families working hard to rebuild relationships that have been strained by trauma and separation. Many overcome giant hurdles in order to be together, and deserve a space to celebrate and reconnect. What better way to celebrate these resilient families than a weekend of s'mores, tie-dye, and crazy games at family camp?

What better way to celebrate resilient families than a weekend of s’mores, tie-dye, and crazy games at family camp?

We need your help to pull it off. Will you enable a camper or family to go to camp by sponsoring them?

You’ll be providing an opportunity for families to heal, make lasting memories, and enjoy being together. And by donating, you’ll make sure cost won’t be a barrier by making camp free of charge to families.

Last year we hosted Camp Skookum for the first time, and it was such a blast! With your help, we’ll be able to host camp again this August 24-27. Camp Skookum is free for families to attend because supporters like you donate and make it possible.

We anticipate 20 families will attend camp this year, and each of those families need someone like you to help create this fun and meaningful weekend.

$70 send a kid to camp for a day. $1,050 enables a family of five to attend Camp Skookum.

Could you donate towards sponsoring a family?

I know you care about foster youth. Please donate today and send a kid to Camp Skookum with their family! Your donation supports all of Skookum's programs to help kids and families in foster care.

You’ll be supporting kids, families, and togetherness.
